Abraham Bus

For your convenience, Abraham Hostel offers a shuttle service between our hostel locations in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Nazareth. An easy alternative to navigating public transportation, the shuttle runs daily and drops you off at the door of the hostel, so it’s a great option for anyone staying at one of our hostels or in the city center. Pre-book the shuttle or stop by the traveler’s desk to book. This service is for both guests and non-guests of the Abraham Hostel network.

What's the Abraham Bus schedule?

The Abraham Bus departs every day from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and back, leaving Jerusalem in the morning, returning to Tel Aviv from Jerusalem in the afternoon.

Does the Abraham Bus go to Nazareth from Jerusalem?

The Abraham Bus also heads to Nazareth from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv every day except on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Does the bus include a day tour from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem?

The Abraham Bus includes only a ride from one city to the other. With Abraham Tours, you can join a day tour from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem departing multiple times a week, bookable here.

How many passengers does the bus fit?

Our Abraham Bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Nazareth and in between, usually fits between 19-22 passengers.

Does the bus go on Shabbat?

Yes, our Abraham Bus departs every day, including Shabbat. On Shabbat, you can take the bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv or Nazareth, Tel Aviv to Jerusalem or Nazareth and from Nazareth to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

Where are the pickup locations and drop-offs? Are there stops?

The bus has stops at the Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv as well as the Abraham Hostel Jerusalem.
In Nazareth the bus will stop at Mary’s well, in close walking distance to the Fauzi Azar by Abraham. Please note that the Abraham Bus might have stops along the way to pickup or dropoff travelers on tour to Caesarea or on our Kibbutz Experience Tour.

Getting from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

Getting from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (and from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv) is pretty easy and usually takes around 40 minutes to 1.5 hours. With public transport, you can take the train, departing everyday Sunday-Thursday from HaHagana Station.
Public buses by Egged run every day – Bus #405 departs from the new central bus station (South Tel Aviv). Bus #480 departs from Arlozorov Terminal (North Tel Aviv). Both lines arrive at the Jerusalem Central Station. The alternative with the Abraham Bus is an easy door-to-door ride, hassle-free and cheap!

Getting from Jerusalem to Nazareth

Getting from Jerusalem to Nazareth via public transport could be complicated and might include a transition in Tel Aviv or Haifa. The Abraham Bus offers a direct, fast and easy connection between the two cities. Ideal for travelers looking to stay at the Fauzi Azar in Nazareth.

Getting from Tel Aviv to Nazareth

Unlike public transport from Jerusalem to Nazareth, the connection from Tel Aviv proves to be easier and faster. Bus #826 or #833 from Arlozorov Terminal to the BIG Center Station will take you within 20-min walking distance from Nazareth’s old city.
