Communal Dinner in Bohol: Boodle Fight Night
Satisfy your Filipino food cravings the way the locals do at Abraham Bohol every Saturday! A boodle fight is a traditional communal dinner where everyone gathers at the table and eats their meal with their hands. This group activity stems from the Philippine Military where all the soldiers, both enlisted personnel and officers, eat together to strengthen the camaraderie and brotherhood between each other.
Boodle fights are also regularly done between groups of friends, and families whenever visitors or distant relatives come by, and even by companies and its employees to build a good relationship in the workplace.
Filipino dishes served during a boodle fight typically include a healthy amount of rice, stir-fried or steamed vegetables, salted eggs, and a main dish like roasted chicken or meat and other savory delicacies. Sliced fruits are also served as dessert for the participants though it is not uncommon to also serve ‘kakanin’ or Filipino rice cakes instead depending on the season.
By joining Abraham’s Boodle Fight, not only will you fill your belly, but you will also meet and interact with a group of other like-minded people and even possibly make lifelong friendships by night’s end!
After the meal, you can then go out and explore the nightlife of Panglao on your own or stay a while to join the Panglao Pub Crawl with the same crowd for only PHP555 as an add-on!
