Israel, West Bank & Jordan Full Experience Package (12-Day Tour)

This package is a comprehensive tour of our most popular destinations, providing twelve days of adventure all over the country and neighboring Jordan. This is a partly guided tour, combining fascinating, informative guiding with individual exploration. You will enjoy 11 nights of quality accommodation across our locations, where you can enjoy hostel activities, meet other travelers, and explore the surroundings.

We will start our day driving up along the Mediterranean coast for a couple of hours before arriving in Haifa. Haifa, is Israel’s third largest town, and the holy city of the Baha’i faith.  We will visit the Baha’i temple at the top of Mount Carmel, and explore the striking gardens planted along the hillside.  Next, we’ll visit the beautiful old city of Acre, with its crusader fortresses, ancient walls and beautiful mosques and marketplaces.  Lastly, we’ll drive back to Nazareth and visit an olive press near Zippori. You will see many beautiful olive groves throughout this region as you are reminded of the fact that you are just a short distance from the Mediterranean sea. We will finish the day in a delicious authentic traditional Nazarene cooking workshop in Fauzi Azar.

Spend each of your nights in the magical Fauzi Azar, where you will enjoy a delicious and rich Middle Eastern breakfast daily before embarking on your tours. Relax in the beautiful Arab mansion, tasting wonderful local cakes, whilst you can spend time in the large common areas under the magnificent ceiling artwork.

In the morning we will head toward the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s largest fresh-water reservoir. We will visit Capernaum, a place of religious and historical significance for millions of Christians throughout the world. The next stop is the Mount of Beatitudes, the location of Jesus’s famous Sermon on the Mount took place, and where today a beautiful Catholic Franciscan chapel stands. After a short hike in the Banias Nature Reserve, we will go to a winery, and you will sample an assortment of fine local wines. Next up is Mount Bental, a dormant volcano which offers views of the Galilee, Golan, Syria, and Mount Hermon. Our final stop for the day will be back at the Sea of Galilee (seasonal), bathing in the energizing water before returning to Nazareth.

This day will begin in Nazareth, located in the heart of the Galilee and the North, famous both for its association with Jesus, and for its vibrant and colorful marketplaces and food stalls today. You’ll join a great guided tour of Nazareth on the final day of your package, Nazareth The very home of Jesus Christ, the city brims with churches, museums, and historical intrigue at every turn. Our Eat, Pray & Love in Nazareth is your chance to experience Nazareth in all the senses from historical, political, social, and culinary angles. There will also be stops at three of the most religious sites in the city, including the Greek Orthodox Church of The Annunciation, The Basilica of The Annunciation, and The White Mosque. Our tour ends in The Basilica of The Annunciation

After the Eat, Pray & Love in Nazareth Tour, The day continues at Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael where you will learn about the communal community from a local member.  As one of the key segments of early Zionist communities in Israel, Kibbutzim are collective communities based upon a socialist philosophy, providing a lifetime membership for their residents. With a long history of involvement in the realization of the Zionist dream and the incorporation of socialist ideology into the Israeli mindset and government structure, they also play a vital role in Israel’s agriculture and manufacturing industries.

We will begin our morning in Tel Aviv, the city that never sleeps! During your stay in Tel-Aviv you will begin with an evening activity called “Paint & Pint” which is a great way to meet fellow travelers on your first day in the country!

Jaffa is a city that has been important for millennia. Jonah tried to run away from God here, Andromeda was sacrificed to the Sea Monster, and St. Peter resurrected Tabitha at Simon the Tanner’s house. The winding alleyways hugged by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea give Jaffa the unique blend of chill Tel Aviv vibes with a fascinating historical past. During this two-hour tour, you will learn about Jaffa’s various rulers and visitors including the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, Napoleon Bonaparte, St. Peter, and the prophet Jonah. Make a wish at the wishing bridge, find your zodiac sign among the Zodiac Alleyways, and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze along the Mediterranean Coast. While at the hostel you will join us for some evening time cultural activities- Jewish Shabbat dinner with fellow guests on one night

A fresh day with a new experience has come! On this amazing day we will visit Masada, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea. Leaving Tel Aviv, we’ll travel south through the beautiful Judean Desert to the foot of the Masada fortress which stands beside the Dead Sea. You’ll take a cable car to the top of the fortress, enjoy the special views, and explore the archaeological ruins, before continuing to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, an oasis in the desert, for a short hike, and the unique opportunity to float in the waters of the Dead Sea, and immerse yourself in the famous mud.

In Jerusalem, you will join Our Meet the Ultra-Orthodox Jews Tour which is designed to give you a glimpse into the rich cultural and religious identity of the Ultra-Orthodox Jews, better known as Haredim or “God fearers,” living in Jerusalem. We will visit a traditional neighborhood, which isn’t typically visited by tourists, giving you the opportunity to remove the veil of a culture that most people have only observed from the outside.  Along the way, your guide will point out many significant religious symbols, customs and sites. You will also be visiting some local establishments. Note that some of these places won’t be possible to enter as it’s forbidden by the local community, so you’ll get a glimpse from the outside with explanations from you guide.

On this day you will join our Holy City tour, a great way to experience and learn about the rich history of the old city. This tour, fascinating to history lovers, includes sites holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians, such as the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock, Al Aqsa Mosque, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

On another day we will take you to Hebron, one of the four holy cities in Judaism and also sacred in Islam. We will drive into the politicized city in a bullet-proof bus. The tour is split into two parts- you’ll spend half the day with Jewish “settlers”, and the other half with a Palestinian guide, each in their respective area of the city. This way you are given a balanced account of life in Hebron, the city of Abraham and the burial place of the Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs.

From the hostel, we will head out on a day tour of the West Bank, an unforgettable insight into the culture of this fascinating and controversial region. We will visit the ruins of the oldest city in the world, Jericho, and then Ramallah for a taste of modern-day culture. Lastly, you will get to enter the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. The local Palestinian guide will explain the area’s rich religious significance, as well as its political and historical implications. In the evening we will have the famous Hummus Workshop.

The next part of the tour consists of two exciting days exploring the treasures of Jordan. Our two fully-packed days begin in Jerusalem, as we head toward the Jordanian border. We cross at the King Hussein / Allenby border, and enter Jordan, driving through the Judean desert for about an hour.

We continue towards Madaba, an ancient jordanian city, and go up to the viewpoint of Mount Nebo. Then we will have lunch. From here we will go to a Bedouin camp near Petra where you will enjoy Bedouin hospitality, including an Arab-style dinner and a comfortable bed for the night. Before going to sleep, sit beneath the clear desert skies and stargaze, as you drink a cup of delicious Bedouin tea..

On the second day we will tour Petra. One of the seven wonders of the world, and Jordan’s most treasured attraction, Petra is an unforgettable place. It was carved into the red rocks of the soaring cliffs in the early 1st century as the tomb of a Nabataean king, and was hidden under sand for centuries before recently becoming accessible again.

We will enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge, and tour the Treasury and Amphitheater with our guide who will explain the sites and history as you marvel at the beauty of each structure. Then you will have free time to continue individually as you wish: climb to the Royal Tombs, walk down the Roman Cardo, hike up to the Monastery, and explore the different sites. We will meet up for lunch in Wadi Musa before returning back to Jerusalem via the Allenby border crossing.
