We use 4×4 Jeeps for this tour, which are equipped to handle the challenging terrains we’ll be navigating during the adventure.
What will we see during the tour?
The tour will take you through a range of landscapes, from the banks of the Shlomo River to Israel’s most stunning desert landscapes. We’ll also stop to explore a local copper mine, where you’ll learn about the Kwartz and Eilat stones. The tour ends at a panoramic viewpoint that overlooks four countries.
Do I need any special equipment or clothing for the tour?
As we’ll be traveling through different terrains, we recommend wearing comfortable footwear. Also, consider clothing suitable for the season and desert conditions. Don’t forget to bring sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Are meals or drinks included in the tour?
We provide a hot cup of tea and some snacks at the final stop of the tour, where you’ll be enjoying a panoramic view. However, meals are not included. We recommend bringing snacks and additional water for personal needs. It is possible to refill your water buttles on the Jeep.
How to get to Eilat from Jerusalem using public transportation?
The distance from Jerusalem to Eilat is 314 km (195 miles), you can easily travel to Eilat using the bus run by Egged Public Transportation. The ride from Jerusalem to Eilat is around 4-5 hours long. Unfortunately, there is no train service at the moment but direct domestic flights are available from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 1.
