Israeli-Palestinian Dual Narrative Tour

Layers of Reality in the West Bank / Judea & Samaria

Join us for an immersive and thought-provoking journey into one of the world’s most complex regions. This tour is designed for those who seek to look beyond the headlines and engage with the multifaceted human landscape of the West Bank/Judea and Samaria.

Participants encounter both Palestinian and Israeli narratives, with a particular emphasis on the moderate voices whose voices are often overshadowed by extremes.

We will explore the region through two distinct perspectives.
We begin with the Palestinian narrative, visiting the ancient village of Battir, known for its UNESCO-recognized ancient agricultural terraces. Here, we will discuss the long history of the area, the Palestinian connection to the land, and the daily challenges of life for Palestinians, like movement restrictions. The struggle for the right to build in Area C will be emphasized in a visit to a small Palestinian hamlet surrounded by settlements.  This narrative calls this region “the occupied Palestinian West Bank”.
In contrast, we will explore the Israeli narrative and visit diverse communities in the Gush Etzion region – from a large, mainstream “consensus” settlement that looks like any typical suburb, to a small ideological “hilltop”  community that represents the “pioneering” Israelis living close to the ‘Land of Israel’. This narrative calls this region “‘liberated Judea”.

One of our day highlights is a visit to Roots Center, where a “Third Narrative” is being written. Here, we move beyond the binary of “us vs. them” to meet local Palestinians and Israeli “settlers” who choose recognition over rejection, who run the only joint Israeli-Palestinan community and dialogue center in the West Bank. Their motto: “Two truths in one heart, two peoples in one land.”

Our goal is not to provide you with simple answers, but to equip you with better questions and a deeper understanding of the moderate voices striving for a shared future.
