Dig for a Day
Join a one-of-a-kind experience where you get to become an archaeologist for a day! At the Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park, you’ll have the chance to enter caves that are currently under archaeological excavation, with expert guidance and fascinating insights into the site’s rich history.
During the activity, you’ll dig through soil using real archaeological tools, sift through dirt using large sieves to uncover ancient artifacts, and crawl by flashlight through an underground maze. Who knows – you might even discover something amazing, just like the incredible finds unearthed here over the years!

- Suitable for ages 5 and up. Children under 5 enter for free but cannot participate in all parts of the activity.
- Price: 95 ILS for adults (18+), 72 ILS for children (ages 5–18).

What ages is the activity suitable for?
The activity is designed for participants aged 5 and up.
What should I bring?
Bring a flashlight, hat, water, closed-toe shoes, and comfortable clothing appropriate for outdoor digging and crawling through caves.
The selected tours will be reserved for you for 30 minutes. If you do not complete the reservation, after 30 minutes, the tours will be released for purchase by others.
